Lindsay is a professional HAO trained animal healer who has been rescuing animals and providing talks to the public for the last 15 years. She has always been passionate about animals and hopes to pass this on to anyone she meets!
She grew up on a farm in the countryside and has performed animal shows to her friends since she was a little girl. She worked for ten years as a manager in a pet shop, fourteen years providing birthday parties and visits to care homes and five years specialising in therapy work with the NHS, qualifying as an animal healer and working with people with anxiety and depression.
Currently Lindsay has set up an animal therapy centre with the help of her volunteers. Here she works with organisations like SENse learning to provide animal therapy to young people who are out of school. She has also begun a series of after school classes and event workshops. Lindsay delivers engaging talks about the natural world using live animals and models.
She also works with Plumpton college and local schools to provide work experience for young people.
She is an artist and storyteller with a BA illustration degree from Central St Martins College of Art. She is currently writing a range of books on animal and their use in therapy. She runs drawing and storytelling workshops using live animals with her own illustrations and photographs of her animals from her shows.
She is a registered human and animal healer with the Healing Animals Organisation and uses mindfulness, meditation and chi gong exercises to help people connect with animals and control their energies.
She spends her time between classes caring for the 140 mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, molluscs, arachnids and insects, climbing trees and practising violin and Kung fu!
